Terms & Conditions
The ground rules for using this website and working with AkonniiLabs, in plain language.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of this website and to any services provided by AkonniiLabs ("AkonniiLabs", "we", "us"). By using the website or engaging us for work, you agree to these Terms.
If you are engaging us on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that business.
2. Our services
AkonniiLabs provides growth and conversion services, including reputation management, conversion copywriting, email marketing systems, growth strategy and execution, social media management, and website and content audits.
The specific scope, deliverables, timelines and fees for any piece of work are set out in a proposal, quote, invoice or other written agreement with you (an "Engagement"). If an Engagement conflicts with these Terms, the Engagement applies to that work.
3. Free audits
Our free audit is an initial, no-obligation review of your website, content or online reputation. It is based on publicly available information and anything you choose to share with us, and it offers observations and suggested next steps. It is not a guarantee of any outcome, and we may decline to provide an audit at our discretion.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are set out in your proposal, quote or invoice. Unless your Engagement says otherwise:
- monthly retainers are invoiced monthly in advance;
- one-off projects may require a deposit or upfront payment before work begins;
- invoices must be paid by the due date shown on the invoice; and
- fees do not include applicable taxes or third-party costs, such as advertising spend, software subscriptions and platform fees, which are billed separately or paid by you directly.
If an invoice is overdue, we may pause work until it is settled. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. Retainers, pausing and cancellation
Our monthly retainers carry no lock-in contract. You or we may cancel or pause a retainer by giving 30 days' notice in writing (email is fine).
Fees remain payable for work carried out up to the end of the notice period. We may end an Engagement sooner if an invoice stays unpaid after reasonable reminders, if these Terms are materially breached, or if we are asked to do something unlawful or against a platform's rules.
6. Your responsibilities
To do our best work, we need you to:
- give us accurate and complete information about your business;
- provide timely access to the accounts, tools and platforms we need (such as your website, analytics, social profiles, review platforms and email software), ideally through secure, limited-permission access;
- review and approve work promptly;
- make sure you have the right to use any materials you give us; and
- comply with the laws and platform rules that apply to your business and marketing.
Delays on your side may delay delivery, and timelines will move accordingly.
7. Reputation and review management
We help businesses earn genuine feedback and respond to it well. You agree not to ask us to write, buy, post or manipulate fake reviews or ratings, to impersonate customers, or to breach the rules of any review platform or applicable advertising and consumer-protection law. We may decline such requests and may end the Engagement if they continue.
Review platforms set and enforce their own rules. We cannot guarantee that any review will be removed or that any particular rating will be achieved.
8. No guaranteed results
Business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your market, product, pricing, budget, platform algorithms and how recommendations are implemented. The results and testimonials shown on this website describe past work for particular clients and are not a promise or guarantee of what we will achieve for you.
9. Intellectual property
Once an invoice for a deliverable has been paid in full, you own the final deliverables we created specifically for you (such as copy, email sequences and content), for the purpose they were created.
We keep ownership of our pre-existing methods, templates, frameworks, tools and know-how, and may use them in other work. You give us permission to use the materials you provide solely to deliver the services.
Unless you ask us in writing not to, we may describe an Engagement in general terms (for example, the industry and type of result). We will not use your name, logo or confidential information publicly without your permission.
10. Confidentiality
Each of us agrees to keep the other's non-public business information confidential, to use it only for the purposes of the Engagement, and not to disclose it except to people who need it to deliver the work and are bound to keep it confidential, or where the law requires. This does not apply to information that is already public or that becomes public through no fault of the receiving party.
11. Third-party platforms and tools
Our services often rely on third-party platforms such as Google, Trustpilot, social networks and email software. We are not responsible for their availability, changes to their policies or algorithms, or decisions they make about your accounts or content.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AkonniiLabs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill arising from our services or this website.
Our total liability for any claim connected with an Engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that Engagement in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Use of this website
The content on this website is provided for general information. Please do not copy it, scrape it, attempt to disrupt the site, or use it in a way that is unlawful or infringes anyone's rights. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not mean we endorse them.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version. Changes do not alter work we have already agreed unless we both agree, and continuing to use the website or our services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AkonniiLabs is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction will handle any dispute, unless a written Engagement says otherwise. If something goes wrong, please contact us first. We would always rather resolve it directly.

Privacy Policy
What personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
1. Who we are
AkonniiLabs ("we", "us") is a growth and conversion agency serving businesses in any industry. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit this website, contact us, or work with us.

2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, business name, website, industry and the details of what you need, when you contact us through WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn or this website.
- Information from client work. When we work together, you may give us access to business accounts and materials, such as your website, analytics, social profiles, review platforms and email lists, which can include your customers' personal information.
- Basic technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider may log standard details such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
- Billing details. Details needed to issue invoices and keep financial records for clients. This website itself does not process payments.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and requests;
- prepare audits, proposals and quotes;
- deliver, manage and improve our services;
- invoice clients, keep records and meet our legal obligations; and
- keep our website and communications secure.
4. Our legal bases
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent; the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business in a way that does not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.
When we handle your customers' personal information as part of client work, we do so on your instructions and as your service provider.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only where needed, with:
- team members and trusted contractors who help deliver our services and are bound to keep information confidential;
- service providers we use to run the business, such as email, messaging, project-management, file-storage and invoicing tools; and
- authorities or professional advisers where the law requires it or where we need to protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information.
6. International transfers
We work remotely with clients in Europe, North America and Africa, and the tools we use may process information in other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to make sure it remains protected.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for a limited period. Client records are kept for the length of the Engagement and afterwards for as long as needed for accounting, legal or dispute-resolution purposes, after which we delete or anonymise them.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including limiting access to people who need it. No online service can be completely secure, so we encourage clients to share account access through secure, limited-permission methods and to remove that access when a project ends.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email luqman@akonniilabs.site. We may need to verify your identity first.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority if you believe your information has been mishandled.
10. Cookies
This website does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add them in future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first. Third-party sites you reach through our links, such as WhatsApp and LinkedIn, have their own cookie and privacy practices.
11. Children
Our services are intended for businesses, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Refund Policy
When refunds apply for our free audits, one-off projects and monthly retainers.
1. Overview
We want every client to be happy with the work we do. Because our services involve reserved time, expertise and ongoing effort, this policy explains when refunds apply. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and a written Engagement may set different terms for a specific project.
2. Free audits
Our free audit costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
3. One-off projects
One-off projects include things like copywriting packages, audits and strategy documents.
- Before work starts: if you cancel before we have begun, we will refund what you have paid, less any non-refundable third-party costs already committed.
- After work starts: deposits and upfront payments are non-refundable, because they cover time reserved and work already done.
- If you are not happy with a deliverable: tell us what needs to change and we will revise it within the revision rounds in your Engagement.
- If we do not deliver the agreed scope: we will complete it or refund the portion for work not delivered.
4. Monthly retainers
Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance and carry no lock-in. You can cancel or pause with 30 days' written notice, and we will not invoice you beyond the notice period.
Fees for a month in which work has begun are non-refundable, as the time and effort have already been committed.
5. When we will issue a refund
We will refund you if:
- you were charged in error, or twice for the same invoice;
- we are unable to deliver a service you have paid for, and the paid-for work has not been delivered; or
- a refund is provided for in your written Engagement.
6. What is not refundable
- Time already spent and work already delivered.
- Third-party costs, such as advertising spend, software subscriptions and platform fees.
- Results that fall short of expectations where we delivered the agreed scope, since outcomes are never guaranteed.
- Work paused or delayed because of missing access, information or approvals on your side.
7. How to request a refund
Email luqman@akonniilabs.site within 14 days of the charge, with your name, business name, invoice details and the reason for your request. We aim to reply within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible, and how long they take to appear depends on your payment provider.
8. Your legal rights
This policy does not limit any rights you have under the law that applies to you.
